Privacy Policy
The short version
- This website has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no session recording. It does not follow you around the web.
- The public website sets no cookies. It remembers your cart, your daylight or evening choice and any commission draft in your own browser, and that information never leaves your device.
- When you buy something, we get the details needed to send you your piece: your name, email, shipping address and what you ordered. Card numbers go to our payment processor, Stripe, and never to us.
- We never sell your information or share it for advertising.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing enlightenedstainedglass@gmail.com.
Who we are
Enlightened Stained Glass ("we", "us") is a small, independent stained glass studio run by Andrea Corrington in the United States. This policy explains what happens to information when you visit www.enlightenedstainedglass.com or buy from us. If you have any question about it, email enlightenedstainedglass@gmail.com.
What we collect and why
When you browse the site
We don't run analytics or advertising tools of any kind, and we don't build profiles of visitors. Like every website, though, the site has to be delivered to your browser. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, handles that. To deliver the site and protect it from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages and files requested, and the time of the request. Cloudflare may also ask your browser to report connection errors so it can keep the site reliable. Cloudflare keeps this information for a limited time under its own privacy policy. We use it only for security and to fix problems, never to identify or follow individual visitors.
The fonts and images on this site are served from our own site, so loading a page doesn't send your information to font or image services.
When you buy a piece
Checkout happens on a secure payment page run by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details and passes us the information needed to fill your order: your name, email address, shipping address, phone number if you give one, what you bought and what you paid. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe also uses some information to prevent fraud, as described in its privacy policy.
When you order or request a commission through Instagram
The cart and the commission form can build a message for you to send to Andrea on Instagram. Nothing you type into the commission form is sent to us. The message only appears on your screen, and your draft is kept only in your own browser (see below). It reaches us only if you choose to copy it and send it. Messages sent on Instagram are handled by Meta under Instagram's privacy policy. We use what you send to answer you, quote and make your piece, and arrange payment and delivery.
When you contact us
If you email or message us, we keep the conversation so we can reply and help with your order.
Cookies and similar technology
The public website sets no cookies. It uses your browser's built-in storage for a few things that make the shop work. They stay on your device, are never sent to us, and you can clear them any time by clearing your browser's site data:

All of these exist only to make features you use work, and they never leave your device, so no cookie banner is needed. We don't use advertising, analytics or social media cookies.
Two other services may set their own essential cookies:
- Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie (such as
__cf_bmorcf_clearance) if it needs to check that a visitor isn't an automated bot. - Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout page to process payment and prevent fraud.
The private Shop Manager that Andrea uses to update the shop has one sign-in cookie. Shoppers never use it.
How we use information
- To make, pack and ship your order, and to answer your questions
- To send messages about your order, such as a confirmation, shipping update or problem with delivery. We don't send marketing email.
- To keep records we're required to keep, such as tax and accounting records
- To prevent fraud and protect the site
Who we share it with
We share information only with the companies that help us run the shop, and only what each one needs:
- Stripe, to take payments
- Cloudflare, to host and protect the website
- The shipping carrier we use for your order, which gets your name and address
- Instagram (Meta), if you choose to message us there
- Government authorities, when the law requires it (for example, tax reporting or a valid legal request)
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising. If the studio were ever sold, the new owner would have to treat your information as this policy describes.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We don't track visitors across websites, and we don't allow any third party to collect information about your browsing on our site over time or across other sites. That means a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal from your browser is already fully respected. There's nothing to opt out of.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed for taxes, accounting and warranty questions, generally up to seven years. Messages are kept while they're useful for your order and then deleted. Information stored only in your browser stays there until you clear it.
Security
The whole site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Payments are processed by Stripe, which is certified to the highest level of the payment card industry's security standard. No system is perfectly secure, but we collect as little as possible and protect what we have.
Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we have about you, and give you a copy
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete your information, except what we're required to keep (for example, tax records)
- stop using your information for any purpose you object to
Email enlightenedstainedglass@gmail.com to make a request. We'll reply within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first, for example by matching the email address on your order. You can also send a request through someone you authorize to act for you. We will never treat you differently for using these rights. If we turn down a request, we'll explain why, and you can reply to ask us to reconsider.
These rights include those given by state privacy laws such as California's. If you're in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we use your information to fill your order (contract), to meet our legal obligations, and for our legitimate interest in running and protecting the shop. Your information is stored and processed in the United States. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is for adults and isn't directed to children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Links to other sites
The site links to Instagram and, at checkout, to Stripe. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to read them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the change matters, for example if we ever added a new kind of service that handles visitor information, we'll also put a notice on the home page before it takes effect.
